Neal Bascomb, né en 1971, vit aujourd'hui à Brooklyn. Journaliste au New York Times , il est l'auteur de plusieurs livres d'histoire pour le grand public, traduits dans quatorze langues, dont l'un consacré à la mutinerie du cuirassé Potemkine en 1905, Red Mutiny , et un autre aux architectes des années 1920 rivalisant pour édifier la plus haute tour de la ville, Higher . C'est la première fois qu'il est traduit en français.
