Sébastien Chartrand est né en 1983 en Mauricie et demeure désormais à Lévis. Il a découvert la science-fiction et la fantasy vers l’âge de neuf ans avec les œuvres de Francine Pelletier et de Joël Champetier. Il a d’abord étudié la biologie moléculaire, puis s’est intéressé à divers domaines (histoire, philosophie, histoire de l’art et enseignement) avant de devenir écrivain à temps plein en 2015. Il a publié des romans pour adultes (Alire), pour jeunes (Soulières éditeur) ainsi que près d’une vingtaine de nouvelles dans diverses revues (notamment Le Sabord, Solaris, Virages et Mœbius). Son premier roman, L’Ensorceleuse de Pointe-Lévy, lui a mérité le prix Aurora-Boréal. Il tient une chronique depuis 2013 dans Lurelu et signe régulièrement des articles et des critiques dans des revues littéraires.Outre l’écriture, Sébastien Chartrand est un cabinetier passionné, s’adonnant (entre autres) à l’entomologie, la restauration d’antiquités, l’ostéologie, la mycologie et la paléontologie, en plus d’être grand amateur (et humble pratiquant) de fine cuisine du terroir.

John Philpot has thirty years’ experience as a criminal defence lawyer, including twenty in international criminal justice. He has represented clients before the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda, including the Appeal Court in The Hague, and the International Criminal Court.
